As any new mama can attest the first 6 weeks (at least) of life with a newborn is pretty much centred around boobs. From engorgement and cracked nipples to leaking and spraying.. yep, the newborn stage is total glam! Filling up and being drained 6-8 times every day is hard work, so finding supportive, comfortable and convenient nursing bras really should be a priority.

I've tried to buy online, but even after measuring myself I'm never sure I'm buying the right size- and my recent trip to Bras N Things proved I definitely am not! I took my leaky, engorged, over supply of a bust to get fitted by a trained expert- and let me tell you, this is a must for all new mamas! Turns out my perky little A-B cups are now D cups... "What the?! 10D?? Are you sure?!" I screeched to the expert- I thought I was a 14A- maybe B...

The range features many styles in both the wireless and flex-wire bras. The flexi Wire provides shape and support, whilst not placing pressure on the milk ducts and the moulded wire free designs offer support and coverage and an extended hook that allows the bra to grow as your body changes.

What I loved about buying in store is that every bra was fitted and adjusted specifically for my shape by the expert- some styles I was a 10D and others a 12C, which goes to show how important it is to get a proper fitting and advice for every purchase.

I'm wearing the Ariel maternity bra in white and nude & Maternal Magic Wirefree in black.
