As my own birth date draws near I have been thinking about having a birth photographer in the delivery room. We didn't with Archie, but I absolutely cherish the photos my husband took just after, and feel it would be amazing to have a record of what will probably be my last birthing experience.

So in my research I got completely sidetracked with obsessing over hundreds of beautiful, powerful and raw images of women during labour and birth.  It's primal. It's raw. It's motherhood. And it is so, so beautiful.
