2015 | THE NYE PLAYLIST TO GET THE KIDS JUMPIN'

NotSoMumsy_0015 There'll be no fancy frocks, cocktails or fireworks for us tonight, we've decided to ring in the New Year at home, just the three of us- lounge room party here we come! No doubt, there will be some sort of family dance-off so I thought I'd share our NYE playlist - Archie's five favourite songs of all time (you know, his whole four years.) This year he developed his musical ear and requests songs every time we get in the car. It's a random mix, probably not what you'd expect from a three/four year old, but he knows all the words, and the moves. It's hilarious to watch.

I'd also like to take a moment to reflect on the year that was. On a personal level, there were many highs and lows, but I'm walking away from this year with so much gratitude - for what I've gained and even for what I've lost, because sometimes it's the darkest times that allow us to grow. I've learnt to meditate, surrender to whatever will be and focus on the many blessings in my life. And without a doubt growing the NOT SO MUMSY community has been not just a highlight, but my saving grace in healing from my losses this year. Thank you for reaching out, sharing your stories and making NOT SO MUMSY the interactive community I knew it could be. I'm not sure what 2016 will bring, but I'm looking forward to the ride. Thanks for coming along with me.

Happy New Year to you and your families! Wishing you peace, love and adventure. Now for the dance off...
